Hoffman Motorsports Gearing Up for 2010

Hoffman Motorsports is gearing up for a big year in 2010 with the debut of a new chassis and the return of the War Wagon!  After a great 2009 running Nitemare, Andy decided it was time to bring back the War Wagon name and body for 2010. The question was to either rebuild the Nitemare chassis to fit the War Wagon body, or to start from scatch with building a new chassis. The answer ended up being neither as Andy was able to acquire an unfinished chassis from another builder and is currently working over the offseason to complete it for its debut in January as the all-new War Wagon. Andy has signed on for all four dates with Monster Nation in 2010 including stops in Bossier City, Lousiana; Southaven, Mississippi; North Charleston, South Carolina; and Beaumont, Texas. The schedule will also feature some events for Monster Jam. Mansfield, OH Summer Firestorm Recap

Hoffman Motorsports recently had the privilege of participating in a first time event at Mansfield Motorsports Park in Mansfield, Ohio. Andy and Nitemare were featured at the 2009 Summer Firestorm event at the race track, taking on Shell Camino, American Thunder, Phantom and Cyclone in the all-freestyle event. The track also brought a jet truck, the human bomb, wall of steel stunt, and a rollover contest for a really fun, unqiue show. Andy and Shelley Kujat had a great battle for the freestyle wins, with Andy coming out on top in the final tally. A big thanks to Kevin Ruic and Fastcar North Motorsports Promotions for having us at the event, we're already looking forward to next year!

Back to School Monster Truck Bash Recap

One of Hoffman Motorsports' favorite events of the summer is always the Back to School Monster Truck Bash at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway and we had the privilege of being invited back again this year!  Rich Schaefer and the Monster Truck Challenge crew never fail to put on an amazing show, and this year was no different as they designed one of the wildest racing courses we've ever seen. Andy and Nitemare had a solid qualifying effort which would setup a first round race with Doug Noelke in the Tail Gator. Doug ran a great race and managed to just edge out the win over Andy at the finish line. Andy would get the call back as a fast loser for round two, but there would be no stopping eventual winner Mike Hawkins in the Equalizer.

Andy would get an early draw for freestyle and helped get the crowd pumped up with some great walking wheelies and awesome cyclones on the frontstretch. Nitemare Enjoying Strong Summer

The summer has started off great for Hoffman Motorsports as Andy and Nitemare have been able to take part in some laidback fun events, running with some great friends. Last month Andy took part in the first annual Jesse Birgy memorial event at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan. Andy had a great freestyle run and the event helped raise a nice sum for Jesse’s family. Nitemare was invited to participate in Galesburg Speedway’s 4th of July celebration again this year, and that was great fun as always.

This past weekend saw two shows in two cities, starting with Kalamazoo on Saturday night. Running against a great field of trucks, Andy once again made the competition work for it with a strong run in freestyle. Nitemare would run strong again the next day in Champaign, Illinois, but a DQ in the semi-finals would deny Andy the opportunity to try to upset hometown favorite Mark Hall in the finals. Andy did however give Mark a run for it in freestyle, laying down what may have been the run of the night with some big moves and donuts. Mark’s run was strong as well and the hometown crowd just edged Raminator over the top for the evening sweep.

In just a few weeks, it’s off to one of our favorite events, the Back to School Monster Truck Bash in Charlotte, North Carolina for Rich Schaefer. Other than that, we’ve still got plenty of openings, so contact us to get Nitemare at your next event!!

Sedalia, Miami Bring More Wins

Since our last update, Andy and Nitemare have competed in events in Sedalia, Missouri and Miami, Oklahoma. The Sedalia event at the beginning of March would see Andy take the freestyle win Friday night after a huge reverser resulted in a nasty wreck. After a long night and day of repairs, Andy would be back Saturday night driving Nitemare to the straight line racing victory and putting on another great freestyle.

After a month and a half break, Nitemare was back in action for the annual O’Reilly Outlaw Nationals outdoor event at the Miami, OK Fairgrounds. Friday night’s highlight would be a semi-final round appearance, but Saturday Andy was on his game taking down Doug Noelke in Tail Gator in the semis and Darren Migues in Bounty Hunter in the finals. Andy also nearly took a wheelie contest win and laid down a solid freestyle.

Nitemare Dominates Outlaw Nationals Indoor Season

Andy Hoffman and Nitemare have just competed a hugely successful three weekend tour of Texas as part of the O’Reilly Outlaw Nationals series!! The first weekend in Austin, TX would see Andy sweep everything, taking racing both nights and even topping Devin Jones and Barbarian in freestyle both nights. The next event in Austin saw Andy continue his racing dominance, taking wins both nights and turning in two more strong freestyles. The final stop in Waco would see Andy sweep on Friday night and take the Saturday night freestyle, but lose racing for the first and only time on the tour.

Andy and Nitemare would end up 9 out of 12 in O’Reilly Outlaw Nationals racing and freestyle this winter for an incredible 75% win percentage. Prior to starting the Outlaw Nationals tour, Andy also competed in the Oklahoma City Extreme Monster Truck Nationals event, winning the Friday night donut contest.

This coming weekend we’ll be in Sedalia, MO with the Monster Truck Racing Super Series, but we do still have plenty of availability for the rest of the year, so contact us to get Andy and Nitemare at your event!!

Nitemare Starts '09 With Monster Jam

Andy Hoffman kicked off 2009 by participating in two events for Feld Motorsports the past two weekends. The first event was in Evansville, IN where Nitemare was the home-state favorite taking on Team Scream's four trucks. Friday would see Andy take a score of 24 in the wheelie contest, exit in round 1 of racing and take scores of 15 and 11 in the donut and freestyle competitions. Saturday would see much better performance from the truck as Andy marched his way to the finals before falling to Wrecking Crew and took home the donut contest victory.

Next up would be Milwaukee, WI at the Bradley Center this past weekend. Friday would bring another final round appearance, just getting nipped at the line by Mark Schroeder's Devastator. Nitemare would get scores of 19 and 10 in the wheelie and freestyle contests. Saturday would see Andy start off by scoring an 18 in the wheelie contest, but a broken housing in the first round of racing would end the weekend for Nitemare.

This coming weekend Nitemare will be making its first appearance on the Extreme Monster Truck Nationals tour in Oklahoma City, OK. From there Andy will run all three O'Reilly Outlaw Nationals winter events. Stay tuned for more results as Nitemare takes on the competition in 2009!!

Hoffman Motorsports Gearing Up For 2009!!

After a light schedule this fall to close out the year, Hoffman Motorsports is gearing up for a big 2009!!  Andy is working to firm up a number of first quarter dates, but can announce that he and Nitemare will be competing in all three O'Reilly Outlaw Nationals events this winter in Texas. In the meantime, any promoters interested in having 2-time Monster Nationals Freestyle Champion Andy Hoffman and Nitemare at their events are encouraged to contact us ASAP while there is still availability. Keep checking back here at the site for a full recap of 2008 and more dates on our Schedule as they are confirmed!!
