Learn more about Hoffman Motorsports and our race vehicles!!

Andy Hoffman has been involved in competitive motor sport racing for more than 25 years. The truck and tractor pulling strip was where he first used his driving and fabrication skills, building and driving a modified pulling tractor and two wheel drive truck. After leaving the sport of pulling, he raced monster trucks as a hired driver and purchased the Nitemare truck in 1995. As a monster truck driver, Hoffman feels it is important to spend time with the fans and put forth a positive image in appearance and personality. Hoffman Motorsports also takes an interest in community events by sponsoring a baseball team and displaying the truck at church promotions. Hoffman resides in rural Huntington, IN with his wife and son. The Nitemare Monster Truck name has been associated with monster truck racing since the early days of the sport. Since Andy Hoffman purchased the name and vehicle in 1995, it’s popularity has escalated significantly! The truck has been featured on cable and pay per view television programs. The Truck is also featured in Microsoft’s Monster Truck Madness 2 computer simulation game and Nintendo’s Monster Truck Madness game for N64. Nitemare continues to entertain crowds with competitive racing and freestyle exhibitions throughout the United States and Canada.

The Nitecrawler vehicle originally was a M131A armored personal carrier manufactured in 1969. The tank body was removed and has in it's place a Chevy AstroVan Fiberglass body. Due to the aluminum construction of the tanks chassis, Nitecrawler weights around 10,000 lbs. This is a great advantage due to the fact that Nitecrawler is half the weight of most other tanks on the circuit today. Nitecrawler's power-plant includes and blown alcohol injected Keith Black Chevy 502 creating around 1000 horsepower. It transfer the power to the tracks with a modified 400 turbo transmission.
